Flexible Learning Center

Working closely with representatives of Northeastern University’s College of Engineering’s Gateway faculty, MDS designed a work space and resource center for first year students and adjacent offices for faculty and staff who support the program. The project brought together faculty and facilities previously scattered on several floors and created a new hub for engineering students.

Designed for flexibility, the student workroom accommodates informal work sessions, classes, and testing of student engineering projects. The Learning Center also serves as a comfortable student hang-out space with access to resource materials. Windows into the Learning Center showcases student activities and connects the engineering programs to a broader student population.
