Case Campus Center Study + Renovations

Skidmore College engaged MDS to perform a programming and feasibility study to reinvigorate its Case Campus Center. This study sought to enliven the aging building and provide much needed meeting and assembly space to accommodate student needs.

Prior to our study, many student meeting activities were held within academic facilities scattered around campus. Making Case Campus Center the hub for these student activities by providing flexible meeting areas of a range of types and sizes was the primary goal of this initiative. In the course of the programming and feasibility study, MDS met with all interested stakeholders, developed a program for space use and food service, and formulated development options that address the needs of this growing campus. A series of targeted renovations by MDS introduced new furniture in the main Lounge and updated the coffee shop and food service venue.
